Steadies the other end of the workpiece for turning between centres.

Moves along the lathe bed to hold workpieces of different lenghts

Tool Rest

Supports the tools while their cutting the workpiece

Can be moved along the lathe bed using the banjo and locking handles

Lathe Bed

Provides a firm support to clamp the other main parts of the lathe

It's top surface should be smooth to allow the parts to slide along it easily
